What we collect, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and how to have it all erased.

Last updated: August 5, 2026

Translation. This English version is provided for convenience; if it differs from the French version, the French version prevails. Document pending review. The text faithfully describes the processing our servers actually carry out, but has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. A review is needed before publication, in particular on retention periods and transfers outside Côte d’Ivoire.

1.The principle

Sanifers collects what the service needs to work, and nothing more. We do not sell any personal data and do not rent any to advertisers.

A concrete example of this principle: a courier sees neither the buyer’s name, number nor address until they have the parcel in hand. The server refuses to send them before that moment, whichever app asks for them.

3.What we collect

What you give us. Phone number, display name, optional email address, profile photo, city and neighbourhood. For sellers: trading name, logo, banner and pickup point address. For couriers: declared vehicle, number plate, driving licence number and emergency contact.

What your use produces. Your orders, messages, items, videos, favourites and follows.

Your location. For a buyer, it is used to show nearby shops and to prefill a delivery address; it is only requested at that moment. For a courier, it is tracked only while they are online, to offer them nearby jobs and let the buyer follow the delivery. Offline, there is no tracking.

Technical data. Device model, system version, notification identifier, connection and error logs.

What we do not collect. No bank card data passes through or is stored on our servers: payments are processed directly by our licensed providers.

4.The permissions the app requests

Each permission is requested when it is needed, never at launch. Refusing a permission does not prevent you from using the app: only the related feature becomes unavailable.

  • Camera and microphone. To take photos of an item, record a video and broadcast a live. Requested when those screens open. The app accesses neither in the background.
  • Location. For a buyer: showing nearby shops and prefilling a delivery address, occasionally. For a courier: offering nearby jobs, letting the buyer follow the parcel’s approach, and checking proximity at handover. This tracking only starts once the courier goes online and stops as soon as they go offline. The app does not track any location in the background.
  • Notifications. To tell you about an order, a message, a courier’s arrival or the start of a live you follow.
  • Network access and network state. To communicate with our servers and adapt a live video to the quality of the connection.
  • Device photos. Only the images you choose in the system picker are read. The app does not browse your gallery.
The app requests neither your contacts, nor your SMS, nor your calendar, nor the list of installed apps, and does not access the device’s files apart from the images you select yourself.

5.Why

  • Running the service: creating your account, processing your orders, arranging deliveries, notifying you.
  • Protecting you: holding the funds until delivery, checking handover codes, settling disputes.
  • Fighting fraud: detecting fraudulent accounts, counterfeits and attempts to get around a suspension.
  • Meeting our obligations: keeping accounting and tax records, answering requests from the authorities.
  • Improving the product: aggregated usage measurements that do not identify you.

Marketing notifications are limited and respect quiet hours at night. They can be turned off in the app settings.

6.Who it is shared with

Between users, only what the transaction requires.

  • The seller sees the content of the order and the buyer’s first name, not their full address.
  • The courier sees the seller’s pickup address; the buyer’s contact details are only sent once the parcel has been collected.
  • Other users see what you publish publicly: shop, items, videos, comments.

Our service providers, only for what they carry out for us: payment processing, server hosting, image and video storage, sending notifications, route calculation. They are contractually bound to use this data only for that purpose.

The authorities, when a legally founded request is made to us.

Some of these providers host data outside Côte d’Ivoire. We make sure they offer an appropriate level of protection.

7.How long

  • Active account: as long as you use it.
  • Orders and accounting entries: 10 years after the order. These are accounting records; keeping them is an obligation.
  • Delivery history: 10 years, linked to orders, without people’s contact details.
  • Courier locations: deleted with the account; the detailed history is purged regularly.
  • Fraud reports: 5 years, as an irreversible fingerprint of the number.
  • Technical logs: 90 days.

8.Your rights

At any time you can ask to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict its processing or obtain a copy. You can also object to marketing communications.

Most of these actions are available directly in the app: editing your profile, removing an item, deleting a video, turning off notifications.

To delete your account entirely, the procedure is described on a dedicated page: it explains what is erased and what we must keep.

For any other request, write to support@sanifers.com from the address or with the number linked to your account. We reply within 30 days.

9.Security

Exchanges between the apps and our servers are encrypted. Handover codes are never stored in plain text: only an irreversible fingerprint is, which lets a code be checked without ever being able to rebuild it.

Our team’s access to data is restricted and logged. No system is infallible: in the event of a breach likely to harm you, we will inform you.

10.Minors

The service is not intended for people under 18. If we learn that an account was created by a minor without their legal guardian’s consent, we close it and delete its data.

11.Changes to this policy

Any substantial change is announced in the app before it takes effect. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
